About Us
Overview
The UNC Portfolio Management Team (PMT) is a student managed, long-only equity investment fund with $100k AUM from the Ewing-Schleeter Harris Fund. The fund exists to provide a select few UNC undergrads with an immersive equity portfolio management experience. The organization is extremely selective and accepts only the most technically qualified and career-dedicated students to join the fund.
In addition to successfully managing the fund, PMT sets out to facilitate an investor-focused mindset and strong analytical skills in its members, along with a supportive community that propels all members towards success. Finally, PMT has a multitude of finance recruitment resources and experienced upperclassmen providing mentorship to younger students, with the ultimate goal of generating strong internship recruiting placement for underclassmen. A very large portion of the top finance offers attained at UNC come from PMT members and recent classes have had 100% internship placement rates.
Recruiting Placements
PMT prides itself on providing members with extensive recruiting resources and continuous support from upperclassmen. The PMT alumni network is expansive and includes past members who are now at top investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, and more. Almost all top finance offers attained at UNC come from PMT members. Specifically, recent placement includes internships and full-time roles at Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, KKR & Co., Evercore, PJT Partners, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, and more.
